An internal (non-public)  ESOC Navigation Support Office GNSS station.

Location

The antenna is mounted on a steel plate that is drilled into the wall of a rooftop.
The rooftop pertains to one of the buildings of the ITCR campus, in the city of Cartago, Costa Rica.

The site is managed by ITCR (The Costa Rica Institute of Technology), a university specializing in engineering and advanced science and research,

A joint collaboration between ITCR and ESA/ESOC was established in June 2021.

CTGO is the first ESOC GNSS station to be installed in Central America, and bridges the gap between the existing stations in French Guyana and Mexico.

Equipment

The station operates a Septentrio PolaRx5 receiver and Septentrio Chokering B3E6 antenna, providing multi-GNSS tracking from this location: GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS.
