An internal (non-public) ESOC Navigation Support Office GNSS station.
Location
The antenna is situated on the roof of a building on an industrial terrain, approximately 5 km from the city of Reykjavik, Iceland
The site is managed by Neydarlinan ohf, operators of the 112 National Emergency Number, the National Tetra Telecommunication Service and the Icelandic Maritime service.
A joint collaboration between Neydarlinan ohf and ESA/ESOC was established in April 2019.
Equipment
The station operates a Septentrio PolaRx4 receiver and Septentrio Chokering MC antenna, providing multi-GNSS tracking from this location: GPS, Glonass, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS.
The station also operates an external Rubidium signal generator (clock) to which the receiver connects for more stable operations.
